Mr. Brennan England

Brennan England is a graduate of Arcadia High School where he was the drum major of the award winning Arcadia Apache Marching Band.  Mr. England then attended California State University Los Angeles where he received his Bachelors degree in bass trombone performance.  While there he was the conductor of the Golden Eagle pep band.  Under the direction of Dr. Thomas Verrier, Dr. Jeff Benedict, Dr. David Buck, Dr. Thomas Miyake and Dr. William Belan, Brennan performed in all of the top instrumental and choral ensembles on campus.

After receiving his Bachelors degree, Mr. England received his Masters in bass trombone performance and his teaching credential from California State University Long Beach.  While at Long Beach, Mr. England taught a music appreciation course seminar for the university.  For completion of his Masters degree, Brenan wrote a thesis entitled Third-Stream Style in Selected Bass Trombone Solo Literature which is available for purchase through ProQuest.

Mr. England has worked with many bands throughout southern California, and is an active judge for the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association (SCSBOA.)  Mr. England teaches all bands, choirs, and orchestras at Whitney.
